Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a three-day tour from 13 to 15 September covering Mizoram, Manipur, Assam, West Bengal and Bihar to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for projects totalling over ₹71,850 crore.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, these initiatives span transport, energy, and social infrastructure.

At Aizawl, the Prime Minister will unveil and lay foundation stones for projects worth over ₹9,000 crore across sectors, including Railways, Roadways, Energy and Sports.

He will also flag off three new express trains, Sairang-Delhi Rajdhani Express, Sairang-Guwahati Express and Sairang-Kolkata Express, directly connecting Mizoram with key cities.

Road upgrades such as the Aizawl Bypass and Chhimtuipui River Bridge will improve connectivity and reduce travel time.

In Manipur, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of development projects worth more than ₹7,300 crore, including five National Highway schemes, urban road improvements, and the Manipur Infotech Development project.

On September 14 in Assam, he will inaugurate and launch projects worth over ₹18,500 crore. These include Darrang Medical College, a GNM Nursing College and the Assam Bioethanol Plant at Numaligarh Refinery, promoting cleaner energy and reducing dependence on fossil fuels.

On 15 September, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the 16th Combined Commanders’ Conference-2025 in Kolkata, underlining his government’s focus on a secure and self-reliant India.

Later the same day, he will visit Bihar to open the new terminal building of Purnea Airport and launch the National Makhana Board. This Board aims to boost production, processing and export of the state’s famed Makhana, benefitting thousands of farmers.

Officials stated that the tour underscores the government’s drive to accelerate infrastructure, enhance regional connectivity and promote clean energy across the country.
