Dr Priti Adani Conferred DSc Honoris Causa By Datta Meghe Institute

Datta Meghe Institute of Higher Education & Research (Deemed to be University), Wardha, Maharashtra, conferred the title Doctor of Science (DSc) Honoris Causa to Dr Priti Adani today.

Dr Adani is the Chairperson of the Adani Foundation, the social welfare and development arm of the Adani Group, India’s fastest growing diversified portfolio of market-leading companies.

Mr. Datta Meghe, Honourable Chancellor of DMIHER, conferred the honour on Dr Adani during the institution’s 16th convocation ceremony, where she attended as the Guest of Honour.

Dr Adani said, “I am honoured to accept this doctorate. It firmly reaffirms my core belief that ‘सेवा साधना है, सेवा प्रार्थना है और सेवा ही परमात्मा है’. I remain committed to advancing inclusive systems and solutions that create lasting change, uplift the vulnerable, expand access to education and healthcare, and empower communities.”

Previous Honours: Recognising Dr Adani’s Social Impact

In January 2019, the Rotary Club of Palanpur, Gujarat, honoured Dr Adani with the Banas Ratna Award. In February 2022, the FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) conferred on her the Award of Excellence for Social Impact.

She chose public service over a clinical career. She went on to redefine corporate social responsibility (CSR) in India through her cherished Adani Foundation, established in 1996.

Under her leadership, the Foundation has led impactful work in education, health, and livelihoods.

The non-profit has reached over 9.1 million people in 21 states, empowering vulnerable communities.
