Dr. Preeti Adani Champions Health and Nutrition Revolution in Namida District

Dr. Preeti Adani, the Chairperson of Adani Foundation, recently visited Namida district, where the foundation has been actively involved since 2018 across all five administrative blocks, including Dediapada, Gadir, Tilakwara, Sagbara, and Nandod. One of the notable initiatives is the Founton Nutrition Project aimed at empowering women in 14 CSR sites across 11 states in India and addressing malnutrition among children aged 0 to 5.

In Rajpipla, under the guidance of Dr. Preeti Adani, tribal dances showcased the cultural richness of the region. The conversation also revolved around the ongoing efforts to promote good nutrition for overall community health. Namida, recognized as an aspirational district by the Government of India, has made strides in improving nutrition, benefiting 38,388 children, 7,991 adolescent girls, and 12,382 women of all age groups.

Dr. Preeti Adani took the opportunity to address the Suposhan Project team and 215 Suposhan Sanghinis, who are trained to combat malnutrition and anemia in the district. Commending their dedication in reaching vulnerable populations in challenging areas, Dr. Preeti Adani praised the impact of their work. Suposhan Sanginis shared personal experiences, highlighting the transformative effect of Adani Foundation’s support on their lives.

Expressing her commitment to improving health and nutrition parameters in India, Dr. Preeti Adani stated, “As India progresses remarkably, we must not neglect health and nutrition. Adani Foundation, with its Suposhan Project, contributes to this campaign.” The foundation has established strong community links in Namida, reaching remote homes and driving significant positive change.

After the interaction with Suposhan volunteers, Dr. Preeti Adani visited Mathawadi village in Nandod Block, meeting community members, ASHA workers, and Anganwadi workers. Baby Kiran, a nutrition partner in the village, shared her experiences in raising awareness about nutrition, health, and fitness.
