The Charles University Faculty of Arts became the unfortunate scene of the attack, prompting immediate action from law enforcement. Authorities issued a statement confirming the gunman’s elimination and the ongoing evacuation of the building, where several casualties and dozens of injuries were reported.
Czech media outlets, including private Nova TV, detailed the chaotic situation, describing a blast and a gunman on the roof of the historic university building situated in Prague’s central area. Interior Minister Vit Rakusan provided assurance that no additional gunmen were confirmed, urging the public to adhere to police instructions during this critical time.
