Dhanteras 2026: PM Modi Urges Families To Prioritise Health, Preventive Care

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday urged people to make a commitment to better health this Dhanteras, highlighting Ayurveda’s emphasis on preventive healthcare and healthy habits.

In a post on X, PM Modi shared a message by Union Minister of State for Ayush Prataprao Jadhav, encouraging families to adopt mindful eating, regular Yoga, adequate sleep and timely health screenings. He urged people to invest in their loved ones’ well-being and work towards a healthier future for their families.

“Let us invest in what matters most – the health of our loved ones and a healthier future for our families,” the Prime Minister said.

Jadhav, in a separate post on X, called health the most important investment every family should make this Dhanteras.

Referring to the traditional saying, ‘Shubhamkaroti Kalyanam Aarogyam Dhana-Sampada’, Jadhav said prosperity should include good health alongside material wealth.

Highlighting the Ayurvedic principle of ‘Swasthasya Swasthya Rakshanam’, Jadhav stressed disease prevention, nutritious food, regular Yoga and care for the elderly as the foundations of well-being. He further linked the message to PM Modi’s vision of ‘Swasth Bharat’ and ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’, urging families to make health a priority.

The messages highlighted the importance of preventive healthcare and everyday wellness, encouraging people to treat good health as an essential part of prosperity this festive season.
