Delhi High Court Introduces Free Wi-Fi, New Website To Enhance Judicial Services

In a move aimed at enhancing accessibility and efficiency in legal proceedings, the Delhi High Court has launched a free Wi-Fi service on its premises catering to lawyers, litigants, and the general public.

The inauguration of Phase I of the Wi-Fi service took place on Wednesday, spearheaded by Acting Chief Justice Manmohan, accompanied by Justice Rajiv Shakdher and other esteemed judges.

Addressing attendees during the launch event, Justice Manmohan underscored the pivotal role of judges in driving administrative reforms within the high court.

He emphasized the institution’s unwavering commitment to further improvements, hinting at additional facilities slated for inauguration following the summer recess.

The initial phase of the Wi-Fi service encompasses A Block, B Block, C Block, the Extension Block, the mediation center, and the lawyers’ cafeteria.

Engineered to accommodate a substantial volume of users, the service promises reliable and high-speed internet connectivity bolstered by stringent security protocols safeguarding user data.

Alongside the Wi-Fi initiative, the high court also revealed its revamped website, designed with responsiveness in mind to ensure seamless browsing experiences across various devices including desktops, laptops, tablets, and smartphones.

The new website integrates an array of applications such as e-filing, e-RTI, and e-Sewa Kendra, consolidating essential services under one digital roof and streamlining user navigation.

Among the notable features of the redesigned website is the True Copy Application, which facilitates online requests for authentic copies of court documents.

Furthermore, users can embark on a virtual tour of the Delhi High Court premises, and soon access a section dedicated to landmark judgments delivered by the high court, providing invaluable legal insights.
