Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Lauds PM Modi’s Diplomatic Triumph, Safe Return of Stranded Indian Students from Ukraine

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh commends Prime Minister Narendra Modi for orchestrating the safe return of 22,500 stranded Indian students from Ukraine, a feat achieved through diplomatic dialogues with the leaders of Russia, Ukraine, and the United States. Singh, while launching his Lok Sabha poll campaign for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Ghaziabad in western Uttar Pradesh, extolled Modi’s transformative leadership on the global stage since assuming office in 2014.

Singh highlighted India’s enhanced global stature under Modi’s leadership, remarking on the nation’s newfound influence in international affairs. He praised Modi’s intervention amidst the Russia-Ukraine conflict, underscoring the unprecedented coordination between global leaders to ensure the safe return of Indian students.

Asserting India’s ascendance as a powerful nation, Singh emphasized Modi’s vision to propel India towards economic prosperity, envisioning the nation as the world’s largest economy by 2047. He lauded Modi’s efforts in uplifting millions out of poverty and debunked the perception of India as a weak and impoverished nation.

Singh rebutted political opponents’ scepticism regarding poverty alleviation statistics, urging them to consult data from NITI Ayog and international financial institutions. He underscored India’s pivotal role in global affairs, particularly in vaccine diplomacy amid the COVID-19 pandemic, affirming Bharat’s prominence in shaping the 21st century.

Addressing a rally in support of the BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate from Ghaziabad, Atul Garg, Singh criticized the opposition bloc, highlighting instances of corruption allegations against its leaders. He defended the government’s anti-corruption stance and challenged detractors to seek legal recourse if they believe they are unfairly targeted.

Singh also touted India’s advancements in defence exports, the construction of the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya, and the transformative impact of government welfare schemes on citizens’ lives. He emphasized initiatives such as Ayushman Bharat, housing, direct benefit transfers, and free ration distribution as testimonies to the government’s commitment to social welfare.

With Ghaziabad gearing up for polls on April 26, Singh rallied support for the BJP’s candidate, underscoring the party’s track record of governance and development.
