CM Yogi, Nitin Gadkari Extend Navratri Wishes; Pray Maa Kalaratri Removes Obstacles

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday extended greetings on the seventh day of Shardiya Navratri, praying to Maa Kalaratri for the removal of obstacles and the spread of happiness, peace and prosperity.

In a post on X, Yogi offered prayers to Maa Kalaratri, the seventh form of Adishakti Maa Durga, who grants fearlessness to her devotees.

“May all obstacles and hindrances be removed by the grace of Maa Kalaratri, may auspiciousness enter everyone’s life, and may the light of happiness, peace and prosperity spread everywhere. Jai Maa Kalaratri,” he said.

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister also shared a Sanskrit verse dedicated to the goddess.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari also extended greetings on the occasion and prayed for the removal of negative energies. In his X post, Gadkari described Maa Kalaratri as the seventh form of Maa Durga and sought her blessings for happiness and peace for everyone.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also conveyed her wishes, highlighting the importance of faith, courage and determination in overcoming challenges.

She said the goddess’s worship teaches devotees to confront darkness with unwavering faith and resolve. Gupta prayed for the destruction of negative forces and the prevalence of peace, harmony and positive energy in society.

The seventh day of Sharad Navratri falls on October 17 this year. Devotees worship Maa Kalaratri on Saptami during the nine-day festival dedicated to the nine forms of Goddess Durga.

The goddess symbolises the destruction of fear, darkness and negative forces. Despite her fierce appearance, devotees worship her as a benevolent protector who grants fearlessness.

Across India, devotees mark the occasion with prayers, rituals and devotional offerings, seeking blessings for courage, well-being and prosperity.
