Acharya Satyendra Das
On Saturday, the chief priest of Shri Ram Janambhoomi, Acharaya Satendra Das, reacted to the first pictures of Shri Ram Lalla that became public on Friday.
“Where the new idol is, the rituals of prana pratishtha are being performed… The body of the idol has been covered with clothes for now. The idol that has been revealed with open eyes is not correct. The eyes will not open before the pran pratishtha… If such an image is appearing, an investigation should be conducted to determine who did it,” Acharya Satyendra Das said, speaking at the Ram temple ceremony.
Since the photos of Shri Ram Lalla were leaked online, there has been a stir among the officials. However, after the photo went viral, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is now seriously considering taking action against the matter.
There are some rumors that the photo which went viral was shared by officials engaged in the construction work at the temple site.
On Friday, a picture of the Karnataka-sourced black stone statue of Ram Lalla with its eyes open went viral on social media. According to the image posted by the Vishva Hindu Parishad, the statue is wearing a wreath of flowers. The child Ram, known as Ram Lalla, is standing.
The new 51-inch statue, which was transported there on a truck on Wednesday night, was carved by Mysuru-based artist Arun Yogiraj and put in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple on Thursday afternoon.
On January 22, the Lord Ram idol’s consecration ritual, known as the “pran-pratishtha,” will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On January 23, the Ram temple is scheduled to open to the public.
