CBI Investigation Into Hathras Stampede Incident; CJ Of Allahabad HC Receives Letter

A letter demanding CBI investigation into Hathras Stampede incident has been sent to Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court.  Allahabad High Court Gaurav Dwivedi sent letter petition to Chief Justice.

The petition filed by Dwivedi demanded strict action against the culprits along with the CBI investigation into Hathras Stampede incident.

Advocate has requested to accept the letter petition as PIL and take suo motu cognizance of the incident.

Advocate, in his letter, made parties to Principal Secretary Home, DGP, Hathras Commissioner, DM, SSP Hathras and SHO of Phulrai Village.

The PIL, moved by Advocate Gaurav Dwivedi, claims that the district authorities were “totally responsible” for its “negligent” act due to which the stampede occurred and that this type of inappropriate law and order situation in the state would lead to people losing faith in the government.

The writer, In the letter, has also expressed concern for upcoming Maha Kumbh, that is to take place in 2025 in Prayagraj of Uttar Pradesh.

In one of the worst tragic incident in our recent memory, a stampede incident at a ‘Satsang’ in Hathras took 121 lives.

In a religious congregation in Hathras, people suffocated to death following the stampede incident. The catastrophe led to the piling up of dead bodies atop each other. However, It is under investigation that what led to the occurring of stampede.

Police is poised to arrest Bhole Baba aka Narayan Saakar Hari soon. More than 100 people died in a Stampede at his ‘satsang’ (religious congregation) in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras on Tuesday.

At least 121 people, including over 100 women and seven children, were killed and 28 others injured in the Hathras. The Uttar Pradesh government said that six victims are yet to be identified.
