‘Brahmins Faced Highest Persecution’: Dinesh Sharma Targets Samajwadi Party Governments

Rajya Sabha MP and former Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dr Dinesh Sharma accused Samajwadi Party governments of subjecting Brahmins to the highest level of alleged persecution.

Speaking in Ayodhya, Dr Dinesh Sharma said insulting the Brahmin community had remained a longstanding practice of the Samajwadi leadership. He said society traditionally regards Brahmins as “deity-like” figures who work for public welfare.

Dr Dinesh Sharma also targeted the Opposition over its recent statements on Lord Ram. He questioned those who, he claimed, had earlier rejected Lord Ram but now expressed concern for him. He said such statements reflected an attempt to protect their political existence.

The Rajya Sabha MP praised the grand Tiranga Yatra in Ayodhya and said the event conveyed a powerful message of national unity. He said saints had blessed the ‘Rashtra Raksha Yagya’, while young participants joined the march carrying the national flag and raising slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.

Dr Dinesh Sharma claimed that opponents who questioned Lord Ram’s existence and opposed the Ram temple were surprised by its completion. He said Ayodhya had undergone a major transformation, with the city developing beyond the temple.

The Rajya Sabha MP alleged that the Opposition wanted to reduce pilgrim numbers and said the government would not spare anyone found guilty in the Ram temple case. He accused the Samajwadi Party and Congress of insulting saints and seers.

Dr Dinesh Sharma attended the BJP’s Tiranga Yatra at Gandhi Park, Civil Lines, as chief guest. He visited Ram Lalla and Hanuman Garhi and held organisational discussions with party workers.

The Rajya Sabha MP also inaugurated a Tiranga Yatra for Muslim women organised by the BJP Minority Morcha in Ambedkar Nagar.
