An air India flight was diverted to Delhi as it received the threat of bomb. The flight departed from Mumbai and was bound for New-York city. However, authorities had to divert it to Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi following the news of presence of bomb in the flight.

Officials confirmed about the safety of the passengers and required investigation into the matter. Authorities further assured of standard safety protocol for passenger and crew.

“An Air India flight from Mumbai to New York was diverted to Delhi following security concerns over a bomb threat. In September, an Air India flight going from Delhi to Visakhapatnam received a bomb threat. Later, after investigation it was found to be a hoax, said an official. Visakhapatnam Airport Director Raja Reddy had said then that the Delhi Police received the bomb threat call. The police had alerted the airline and the Visakhapatnam airport.

We await the more details into the matter.
