On February 20, the BJP will mark a new chapter in Delhi’s development with the ‘Viksit Delhi Pledge Ceremony’ at Ramlila Maidan.
The new Chief Minister and the entire BJP Cabinet will take their oaths at this grand event, set to start at 10 A.M.
The BJP has themed the ceremony as the ‘Viksit Delhi Pledge Ceremony’, highlighting its commitment to Delhi’s development.
In contrast, the party criticizes the previous AAP government, claiming it failed to meet the capital’s growing needs.
Moreover, through its election manifesto, ‘Viksit Delhi Sankalp,’ the BJP promises to guide Delhi toward new heights of progress.
The oath-taking ceremony is expected to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers, and several dignitaries from NDA-ruled states.
The new Chief Minister’s name will be decided during a BJP legislature party meeting scheduled for Wednesday evening.
The BJP claimed a massive victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, winning 48 out of 70 seats, while the AAP secured only 22.
This victory marks the BJP’s return to power in Delhi after a 27-year hiatus.
The Congress failed to win any seats, suffering its third consecutive defeat and further diminishing its relevance in the region.
The result highlights the BJP’s strong campaign and the shifting voter preferences in Delhi.
With preparations in full swing, the BJP aims to make the event a significant occasion in the capital’s political history.
Sources suggest that a signed letter of support from all MLAs will soon be presented to Lieutenant Governor (L-G) V.K. Saxena.
The event promises to set the stage for BJP’s governance and the development of Delhi.
