BJP Will Win UP 2027 With Two-Thirds Majority, Says Rajya Sabha MP Dr Dinesh Sharma

Rajya Sabha MP and former Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Dr Dinesh Sharma stated that the BJP is likely to replicate a Bengal-style victory in the 2027 Assembly elections. He said the party is on course to secure more than a two-thirds majority in the state.

Dr Sharma added that opposition parties, including the Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party, and Congress, would struggle to remain relevant. He also remarked that the Congress would complete a ‘century of defeats’ under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi.

The Rajya Sabha MP described training as a structured process that contributes to nation-building. He explained that it begins with individual development and progresses towards strengthening the organisation, ultimately supporting national growth.

Dr Sharma emphasised that the nation holds the highest importance, followed by the organisation and then the individual. He noted that the BJP functions as a cadre-based party guided by ideology, with governance rooted in organisational discipline.

Highlighting the role of continuous learning, Dr Sharma said that workers who remain eager to learn are the most effective. He pointed out that responsibilities evolve within the party, rather than positions.

The Rajya Sabha MP also stressed that experience plays a crucial role in shaping future progress, and both new and experienced members are vital for organisational expansion.

Referring to the origins of the Jana Sangh, Dr Sharma said nationalist forces contributed to India’s freedom movement alongside the Congress. He noted that although the RSS was not a political party at the time, its members worked towards national independence.

The Rajya Sabha MP added that Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee later established the Jana Sangh under challenging circumstances. He said the move laid the foundation for the BJP’s growth.

Dr Sharma stated that BJP workers remain committed to the party’s principles regardless of political power. He said the party’s focus on ideology and public service has enabled it to sustain long-term governance and expand its reach.

The Rajya Sabha MP added that the BJP prioritises the nation above all else, which has contributed to its emergence as a major political force.

The former Deputy Chief Minister said the BJP government is ensuring a high level of electricity supply across the state. He noted that authorities address any disruptions promptly and that the department is functioning efficiently.

Dr Dinesh Sharma also highlighted that the Central government has maintained a steady supply of petroleum products. He added that price increases have remained comparatively controlled.

At the concluding session of the ‘Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Training Mega Campaign 2026’ in Sitapur, Dr Sharma addressed party workers as the chief guest. He focused on themes of organisation, service, dedication and nation-building.
