BJP National President Nitin Nabin will spearhead preparations for a major programme at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi completing 25 years in public life, party sources said.
The proposed event is part of the BJP’s month-long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, running from September 17 to October 17.
Party sources said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend the Delhi gathering and address BJP leaders, workers and supporters.
The BJP launched the campaign to commemorate PM Modi’s 25 years in public life, with October 7 marking the completion of 25 years since he became Gujarat Chief Minister in 2001.
Several senior BJP leaders will take part in Seva Jyoti Yatra programmes across Haryana on October 7.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will participate in the yatra in Kurukshetra, while BJP leader Smriti Irani will join the programme in Jind.
The visit will also mark Irani’s first trip to Haryana as the state in-charge.
The BJP has planned a range of public service and outreach activities during the month-long campaign.
These include blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, cultural programmes, youth initiatives and Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatras.
The party has also organised a Vadnagar-to-Varanasi Seva Yatra, with young participants travelling through multiple states and undertaking voluntary service and cleanliness activities in villages.
The campaign will conclude on October 17.
