India will bring a strong IPL contingent to the 2026 Hong Kong Sixes, with seven experienced cricketers set to compete in the six-a-side tournament from October 30 to November 1.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar will captain the side and lead a squad that includes Krunal Pandya, Shashank Singh, Rahul Tewatia, Nitish Rana, Rahul Tripathi and T. Natarajan.
The Indian squad combines international experience, aggressive batting, all-round ability and specialist pace bowling.
Bhuvneshwar brings extensive international and IPL experience, while Krunal adds versatility as a proven all-rounder. Nitish offers attacking stroke play and experience at the top of the order.
Shashank and Tewatia provide finishing power, while Tripathi brings an aggressive approach. Natarajan adds a specialist left-arm pace option.
Cricket Hong Kong Director of Marketing and Commercial, Anuraag Bhatnagar, welcomed India’s participation and thanked the Indian cricket authorities for their support.
India will return to the tournament after starting their 2025 campaign with a two-run DLS victory over Pakistan before losing their next matches and exiting the competition.
Pakistan will enter the 2026 edition as defending champions after defeating debutants Kuwait in last year’s final. The victory gave Pakistan a record sixth Hong Kong Sixes title.
The 2026 tournament will bring together eight major cricketing nations and four Associate Members at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground.
The six-a-side format delivers a rapid contest packed with boundaries, innovative stroke play, wickets and quick momentum shifts.
