Bihar Opposition Leader Tejashwi Yadav Condemns “Reign of Terror” After VIP Chief’s Father Murdered

Bihar Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav on Tuesday denounced the brutal murder of Jitan Sahani, father of Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) Chief Mukesh Sahani, at their ancestral home in Darbhanga district.

Yadav attributed the killing to a “reign of terror” in the state, fueled by government-sponsored criminals who enjoy impunity. “Criminals backed by the government can kill anyone, anywhere, and anytime,” he wrote on social media.

The LoP criticized the NDA government for downplaying the severity of the situation, despite mounting crime incidents and untimely deaths. “Instead of accepting the truth, they keep repeating the same old dialogue about good governance,” he said.

Tejashwi Yadav expressed condolences to the Sahani family and demanded accountability from the government. Two suspects are in police custody in connection with the murder.

The incident highlights the deteriorating law and order situation in Bihar, with the opposition accusing the ruling government of failing to address the issue.
