Bihar CM Oath Ceremony: Thousands Gather At Gandhi Maidan With Placards & Scarves Featuring PM Modi & Nitish Kumar

Patna witnessed an extraordinary scene at the historic Gandhi Maidan as thousands gathered to witness Nitish Kumar take oath as Chief Minister for the tenth time.

Supporters holding scarves and placards featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Nitish Kumar began arriving early in the day, filling the vast ground with palpable excitement.

The atmosphere reflected both political significance and deep public enthusiasm for the event.

People from across the state travelled to Patna not only to witness the swearing-in ceremony but also to catch a glimpse of PM Modi and Nitish Kumar.  For many, the event represented a moment of pride and hope.

One attendee, brimming with excitement, shared his emotions, “I have come to see PM Modi for the 165th time. Nitish Kumar is taking oath for the 10th time, and everyone is delighted. He has brought Bihar into the mainstream of development, and we are grateful for his efforts.”

Another visitor—who sells tea for a living—travelled to the venue with a personal aspiration, “For eight years, I have dreamt of serving PM Modi a cup of tea. I have followed him to many states but never got the chance. I hope today my dream comes true.”

Such individual stories highlighted the depth of public attachment to both leaders, turning the event into an emotionally charged gathering.

Attendance of NDA Leaders

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the ceremony, along with Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers from several NDA-ruled states.

Their presence underscored the political significance of the occasion and demonstrated the NDA’s consolidated support behind Nitish Kumar’s leadership.

The gathering is considered one of the largest political assemblies Bihar has witnessed in recent years.

Given the expected turnout of more than three lakh people, the Bihar administration implemented extensive security measures.

Additional police forces were deployed across Gandhi Maidan, supported by surveillance cameras placed at key points.

Emergency medical units, ambulances, and rapid-response teams were stationed around the venue and in nearby accommodation areas to ensure swift assistance if required.

Special seating arrangements, designated entry points, and crowd-management protocols were also introduced to maintain smooth movement throughout the event.

The meticulous planning reflected the government’s commitment to ensuring a safe and well-organised ceremony.

The elaborate preparations and overwhelming public participation transformed Nitish Kumar’s swearing-in into a major political and cultural moment for Bihar.

The ceremony not only marked his tenth term as Chief Minister but also showcased the strong connection between state leadership, national presence, and the people of Bihar.
