Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended warm congratulations to all the newly sworn-in ministers of Bihar, describing the team as a group of dedicated leaders who would help steer the state towards progress and stability.
The message came shortly after the oath-taking ceremony held at Gandhi Maidan, where Chief Minister Nitish Kumar began another term in office.
Nitish Kumar was administered the oath of office by Governor Arif Mohammad Khan at Patna’s iconic Gandhi Maidan.
The ceremony witnessed the swearing-in of several key leaders who will now form the core of Bihar’s new Cabinet.
Among those who took the oath were Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Mangal Pandey, Dilip Jaiswal, Shravan Kumar, and Bijendra Yadav—leaders who have previously held significant roles in the state government.
Prime Minister Modi congratulated the ministers individually and collectively, expressing confidence in their ability to deliver effective governance.
Taking to X, PM Modi wrote, “My best wishes to all those who have taken oath as Ministers in the Bihar Government. This is a wonderful team, with dedicated leaders who will take Bihar to new heights. Wishing them the very best.”
The Prime Minister’s message was seen as a strong endorsement of the leadership and experience represented in the new Cabinet.
Following Nitish Kumar, Samrat Choudhary was the first to take the oath.
A victorious MLA from Tarapur, he has now assumed charge as one of Bihar’s Deputy Chief Ministers.
Vijay Sinha took the oath immediately after and has also taken office as Deputy Chief Minister.
Both leaders bring extensive grassroots-level political experience, which the Prime Minister emphasised in his second congratulatory message.
PM Modi wrote, “Congratulations to Shri Samrat Chaudhary Ji and Shri Vijay Sinha Ji on becoming Deputy Chief Ministers of Bihar. Both leaders have worked extensively at the grassroots in serving people. Best wishes to them.”
Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister also congratulated Nitish Kumar on beginning his new term as Chief Minister.
PM Modi stated, “Congratulations to Shri Nitish Kumar Ji on taking oath as Bihar’s Chief Minister. He is an experienced administrator with a proven track record of good governance for many years. My best wishes to him for his tenure ahead.”
With Nitish Kumar at the helm once again and a team of seasoned ministers joining the Cabinet, the state enters a fresh phase of governance.
The Prime Minister’s endorsements highlight the Centre’s confidence in the newly constituted government as it prepares to focus on development, stability, and strengthened administrative delivery.
