Bharat Express Exit Poll Predicts Modi Government’s Return, NDA Set to Secure Majority, India Alliance Faces Setback

Exit polls conducted by Bharat Express and Road Map to Win suggest a clear path for the NDA government to secure its position for a third consecutive term, with Prime Minister Modi poised to achieve a hat-trick victory. Projections indicate a substantial victory for the NDA, with expected seat counts ranging from 345 to 362, demonstrating a stronger performance compared to the previous election.

The BJP, a key constituent of the NDA, is anticipated to secure between 305 to 312 seats, reaffirming its dominant position in the political landscape. Conversely, the Indian Alliance faces a significant setback, with projected seat counts ranging from 126 to 133 seats, while the Congress may secure 77 to 81 seats. Other parties are expected to garner 55 to 65 seats.

In terms of vote share, the NDA is anticipated to receive 47.40%, with the Indian Alliance securing 33.98%. The BJP is poised to capture 39% of the vote share, while the Congress is expected to attain 22.9%. Other parties are projected to secure 18.60% of the vote share.

The BJP is expected to perform exceptionally well in North India, potentially securing 65 to 68 seats in Uttar Pradesh alone. Additionally, a sweeping victory is anticipated in Gujarat, with the party poised to maintain its stronghold. Furthermore, the BJP is projected to make significant gains in Odisha and West Bengal.

In Odisha, the BJP may secure nine seats, while in West Bengal, the party is expected to make considerable inroads, potentially securing 20 to 21 seats. These projections signal a significant shift in the political landscape of these states.

The exit polls conducted by Bharat Express and Road Map to Win are regarded as highly accurate and reliable, owing to their extensive sample size and inclusive approach, encompassing diverse sections and communities. While the final verdict will be revealed on June 4, these exit polls offer a glimpse into the potential outcome of the elections, indicating the likely formation of the NDA government.
