Bharat Express CMD Upendrra Rai To Join Journalism Festival; Share Insights On Media’s Future

Bharat Express CMD Upendrra Rai will participate in Season 18 of the Indian Journalism Festival in Indore. The three-day event will be held from October 2 to 4, focusing on changing journalism and the new media era shaped by Gen Z.

Indore will once again host journalists, media organisations and prominent figures from the journalism fraternity.

The State Press Club, Madhya Pradesh, is organising the 18th edition of the Indian Journalism Festival from October 2 to 4, 2026.

This year’s theme is ‘A Changing World with GEN-Z’. Discussions will focus on the evolving nature of journalism, the future direction of media and wider social changes.

CMD Upendrra Rai’s Key Presence

A major highlight of the festival will be the participation of Bharat Express CMD Upendrra Rai. Known for his active role in journalism and the media sector, his presence is expected to add significance to the event.

CMD Upendrra Rai will discuss journalism’s evolving landscape and the rapid growth of digital media. He will focus on the opportunities and challenges facing the new generation of journalists.

72-Hour Forum Of Ideas

According to the organisers, the festival will host 72 hours of discussions on the contemporary landscape of Indian journalism. The festival will bring together over 150 journalists from print, television and digital media.

The programme will feature sessions and dialogues on pressing national issues, along with three masterclasses.

GEN-Z And New-Age Media

The festival will examine changes across media, politics, elections, education, women, entertainment, environment and sports. Discussions will trace journalism’s journey from its traditional era to the digital age while examining the role of the new generation.

Against this backdrop, CMD Upendrra Rai’s participation will be among the key attractions of the three-day event. The festival in Indore aims to bring together discussions on journalism’s present, future and rapidly changing media landscape.
