The District Magistrate has also taken note of the incident and issued necessary instructions. A loud bang was heard in Ketipura, Baghpat Kotwali Nagar, on Wednesday afternoon.

Residents emerged from their homes upon hearing the sound of children crying and heavy smoke. Upon arrival at the scene, a pungent smell was noticed emanating from a neighbouring lawyer’s house. Upon entering, it was discovered that children were lying burnt and crying. The injured children were evacuated from the house, and the police were notified. They were promptly admitted to the district hospital.

Baghpat SP Arpit Vijayvargiya arrived at the scene with the police force upon receiving information. He conducted a site visit, called for a forensic team, and initiated an investigation. District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh reached out to the district hospital for information about the injured and issued instructions to provide immediate assistance.

The condition of three children is critical due to the explosive blast, with one child suffering severe burns to the face and hands. They received first aid, and all necessary treatment measures were taken at the district hospital. Three children were referred to a higher medical facility. Residents of the Ketipura locality mentioned that the lawyer’s children work as garbage collectors and have picked up items from the municipal garbage. It is suspected that the explosion occurred after the children brought sulphur and potash into the house and attempted to crush them.
