Ayodhya Witnesses Historic ‘Dhwaj’ Hoisting By PM Modi At Ram Temple

Prime Minister Modi and RSS chief Bhagwat hoisted the sacred saffron flag, marking another milestone in the cultural renaissance centred around Ayodhya.

The flag, crafted by a parachute specialist from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, measures 22 feet in length and 11 feet in width, weighs between 2 and 3 kilograms, and is engineered to withstand high altitudes and strong winds.

Adorned with the Sun symbol representing Lord Rama’s Suryavanshi lineage and divine radiance, the flag also features the Kovidara tree, Sun, and Om motifs.

Its saffron colour symbolises fire, sacrifice, dedication, and the rising sun.

The event not only marks the temple’s construction completion but also embodies India’s enduring civilisational ethos and religious devotion.

Earlier, PM Modi and RSS chief Bhagwat offered prayers at Shri Ram Darbar Garbh Grah and Shri Ram Lalla, amid Vedic mantra chants.

The Darbar showcases a majestic idol of Lord Ram in royal form, accompanied by Sita, Lakshman, Bharat, Shatrughan, and Hanuman, highlighting the grandeur of the divine court.

Enthusiastic Welcome and Roadshow

Upon his arrival in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Modi received an enthusiastic welcome. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath greeted him at the Saket College helipad.

PM Modi then proceeded towards the temple complex, leading a vibrant roadshow along streets adorned with devotees waving flags and chanting ‘Jai Shree Ram’ and ‘Modi-Modi’.

People showered flowers on the Prime Minister’s convoy, reflecting widespread excitement for the historic event.

Prayers at Sapt Mandir

PM Modi offered prayers at the Sapt Mandir within the Ram Temple complex.

These seven temples honour Maharishi Vashistha, Maharishi Vishwamitra, Maharishi Agastya, Maharishi Valmiki, Goddess Ahalya, Nishadraj Guha, and Mata Shabari, acknowledging the revered gurus, devotees, and companions who played pivotal roles in Lord Rama’s life.

Following the Sapt Mandir, the Prime Minister visited Sheshavtar Mandir and Mata Annapurna Mandir, offering his prayers and paying respects to the divine sanctuaries, further reinforcing the spiritual and cultural significance of the occasion.

The Dhwajarohan Utsav at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple marks not just a religious milestone but a celebration of India’s civilisational and spiritual heritage.

The ceremony strengthens Ayodhya’s position as a major cultural and religious tourism destination, drawing devotees and tourists from across the country and abroad.
