Ayodhya Ram Temple Witnesses Massive Devotee Rush a Day After ‘Pran Pratishtha’

In the wake of a momentous consecration ceremony led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is set to open its doors to the public today. The event, attended by a multitude of political figures and celebrities, attracted massive crowds eager to witness the historic occasion. Devotees began gathering as early as 3 am, anticipating the opening of the temple gates.

The temple will be accessible to the public from 7 am to 11:30 am and later from 2 pm to 7 pm. The ‘pran pratishtha’ rituals, featuring PM Modi prostrating himself before the Ram Lalla idol, took place yesterday. Dignitaries, including Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, were present at the ceremony.

Prime Minister Modi, expressing his sentiments on Twitter, shared, “The extraordinary moment of the consecration of Shri Ram Lalla’s life in Ayodhya Dham is going to leave everyone emotional. It is my great pleasure to be a part of this divine programme. Jai Siya Ram!”

Following the ritual, PM Modi addressed a gathering of approximately 8,000, comprising seers, Ram Janmabhoomi movement associates, and celebrities from diverse fields. The Prime Minister also visited the Kuber Tila and engaged with workers involved in the temple’s construction.

While the ceremony was broadcast nationwide, senior BJP leaders like JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah watched the event through live streaming. Notably, Opposition leaders chose to abstain from the event, and the run-up to the consecration ceremony saw political disputes between the ruling BJP and the Opposition, with the latter labeling it an “RSS-BJP event.”

Several BJP-governed states declared the day a holiday, enabling people to witness the ceremony on TV and partake in local temple events. Ayodhya’s atmosphere was further enriched by a devotional “Mangal Dhwani,” featuring 50 traditional musical instruments from across the country.
