Atiq Ahmed’s Son Aban Ahmed Dies In Jhansi Road Accident

Aban Ahmed, the youngest son of slain gangster politician Atiq Ahmed, died in a road accident in Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi on Wednesday while travelling to meet his elder brother, Ali Ahmed, who is lodged in Jhansi Jail.

Police said the speeding vehicle rammed into a cement divider on the Jhansi-Kanpur Highway.

The impact killed Aban and another occupant, identified as Sonu, on the spot. Three other passengers sustained injuries and were shifted to the hospital for treatment.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.

According to police officials, Aban had been travelling with his associates to meet his jailed brother when the accident occurred.

Preliminary findings indicate that the vehicle lost control before crashing into the divider.

Officials are examining the exact circumstances that led to the collision.

Ali Ahmed remains lodged in Jhansi Jail in connection with criminal cases.

The Ahmed family has remained in the spotlight since April 2023, when Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf Ahmed were shot dead while being escorted by police in Prayagraj.

Police have initiated legal formalities and sent the bodies for post-mortem examination.

Investigators are also recording statements and inspecting the accident site to determine the precise cause of the crash.
