Is The Motorola Edge 70 Max The Flagship Killer Of 2026?

Motorola has positioned the Edge 70 Max as a premium smartphone that combines flagship performance, AI-powered features and a sleek design.

Priced at Rs 54,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant, the handset aims to offer high-end specifications without entering the ultra-premium price segment.

The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, delivering smooth multitasking, fast app launches and responsive gaming performance. It features a 6.8-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, offering sharp visuals, vibrant colours and fluid scrolling for gaming and video streaming.

Motorola has also equipped the Edge 70 Max with a 7,100mAh battery that supports 90W wired fast charging and Qi2 wireless charging, allowing users to spend less time plugged in.

On the camera front, the phone houses a 50MP Sony primary sensor designed to capture detailed images, including in low-light conditions, alongside an 8MP ultra-wide camera.

A 32MP front-facing camera handles selfies and video calls.

The Edge 70 Max also introduces Moto AI (Qira), which includes features such as Chat Mode, Creator Zone, Catch Me Up, Next Move and Pay Attention. These AI tools help users summarise notifications, generate content, organise notes and receive contextual suggestions to improve productivity.

The device offers integration with Lenovo PCs and tablets for a more connected experience.

Overall, the Motorola Edge 70 Max stands out for its powerful processor, premium display, long battery life, capable cameras and practical AI features.

While Motorola’s software update policy may remain a consideration for some buyers, the smartphone delivers a well-rounded flagship experience at a competitive price.
