Any Adventurism Would Attract ‘Fierce And Punitive’ Response: Indian Military’s Message To Pak

India will hit back hard if Pakistan or its terror groups act again, top defence officials warned on Sunday. Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai, Vice Admiral AN Pramod, and Air Marshal Awadhesh Kumar Bharti briefed the press on Operation Sindoor and recent military action.

They said Pakistan broke a brief truce at 7 p.m. on Saturday. Indian forces raised their guard immediately. Air Marshal Bharti said Pakistan did not breach Indian airspace or borders. “We only hit terror camps. All our pilots are home,” he confirmed.

Pakistani drones and missiles tried to strike Indian bases. Indian air defence units shot them down before impact. Lt Gen Ghai said India neutralised 100 terrorists in precise strikes. Targets included Yusuf Azhar and Abdul Rauf — linked to the Kandahar hijack and Pulwama blast.

He confirmed the deaths of some relatives of Masood Azhar. “Videos of their funerals prove our success,” he said.

India hit multiple terror sites along the LoC. Vice Admiral Pramod said the Navy ran major drills in the Arabian Sea. Indian forces tracked Pakistan’s fleet and forced it to stay in harbour.

“We have the edge. If Pakistan dares again, it knows what to expect,” he warned.

Air Marshal Bharti said India aimed to destroy terror bases, not count bodies.

He made it clear: India is fighting terror, not Pakistan’s army. The defence chiefs said India wants peace but will strike back if provoked. They said the world is watching and hoping for calm.
