The Ministry of Ayush has launched a Weekly Yoga Podcast to promote yoga as part of daily life.
The Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) produces the podcast as a digital outreach initiative.
Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav unveiled the platform on Sunday, sharing the first episode on his social media accounts.
The podcast is designed for all age groups, blending ancient yoga traditions with modern digital lifestyles.
It offers a practical wellness guide with guided sessions, expert interviews, and insights for today’s listeners.
The launch of the podcast follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message in the 120th episode of Mann Ki Baat on March 30, 2025, where he stressed the importance of International Yoga Day and this year’s theme: ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health’.
This theme reflects India’s commitment to sustainable living, global health equity, and environmental consciousness.
In line with this vision, the podcast explores how yoga contributes to mental clarity, physical fitness, and spiritual balance, addressing modern-day stress and lifestyle diseases.
The initiative also complements the government’s efforts to promote wellness as a global movement through accessible digital mediums.
The inaugural episode of the podcast delves into the universal appeal of yoga, tracing its journey from Indian ashrams to global studios and households.
It reflects on the core philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam- the world is one family, echoing the spirit of India’s G20 presidency and international collaboration.
The episode introduces 10 Signature Events planned by the Ministry of Ayush for the 10th International Yoga Day.
These events highlight yoga’s diverse aspects, including therapeutic benefits and community engagement.
These events will run along ‘ten signature tracks’ and serve as real-world interpretations of the 2025 theme.
The Weekly Yoga Podcast is set to become a vital tool in India’s wellness outreach.
The Ministry of Ayush aims to make yoga more inclusive using modern communication tools.
Listeners will hear practical tips on stress relief, diet, meditation, and inspiring yoga stories from around the world.
This initiative strengthens India’s global health leadership, presenting yoga as a living science suited for modern life.
