Union Minister Anurag Thakur
Union Minister Anurag Thakur expressed confidence on Thursday regarding the BJP’s prospects in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, asserting that the party is poised to achieve unprecedented success in Uttar Pradesh by securing victory in all 80 seats and surpassing 400 seats nationwide, thus reaffirming Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.
Highlighting the BJP’s historical triumphs in Uttar Pradesh, Thakur emphasized the party’s ability to repeat its success in the state. He predicted a clean sweep of all 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh and a significant nationwide mandate for the BJP.
Thakur also commented on the diminishing influence of the Nehru-Gandhi family in Uttar Pradesh, noting the lack of resonance their leadership holds in the state’s political landscape.
In a subtle critique aimed at the opposition coalition, Thakur referred to it as a ‘Thugbandhan’, accusing Congress and its allies of disparaging religious sentiments and indulging in divisive rhetoric.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at a public gathering in Sangareddy, Telangana, reiterated his stance against dynastic politics, contrasting his dedication to the nation with what he perceives as the opposition’s prioritization of familial interests over national welfare.
The stage is set for a contentious electoral battle, with the BJP positioning itself as the party committed to the nation’s welfare and the opposition facing scrutiny over its leadership choices and ideological differences.
