Amit Shah, Yogi Adityanath To Campaign In Assam Ahead Of Assembly Polls

Senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday intensified election campaigning in Assam, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath leading efforts to galvanise support for party candidates ahead of the Assembly polls. Their visits come as the party ramps up outreach across key constituencies.

CM Adityanath is set to arrive in Assam later in the day to campaign for the BJP. He will address a public rally at Missamari in the Barchala Assembly constituency of Sonitpur district, where he will campaign in support of BJP candidate Ritubaran Sharma.

Party leaders expect his visit to energise workers and strengthen voter mobilisation, particularly in Upper Assam, where the seat holds strategic importance.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah continues his extensive campaign tour across the state. He will address multiple rallies in Golakganj, Dudhnai, and Palashbari, highlight the achievements of BJP-led governments at the state and central levels, and target opposition parties on governance and development issues.

In Guwahati, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma chaired a key strategy meeting at the state BJP headquarters to review preparations for the Dispur Assembly constituency.

Senior leaders, including Bhupender Yadav and Bhuvaneswar Kalita, along with candidate Pradyut Bordoloi, discussed booth-level management, voter outreach, and campaign coordination.

With top leaders intensifying their engagements and organisational efforts gaining momentum, the BJP is making a concerted push to retain power in Assam, setting the stage for a closely watched and high-stakes electoral contest.
