Amit Shah Unveils BJP’s Vision For Jammu And Kashmir: Focus On Eradicating Terrorism And Building Modern Infrastructure

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah unveiled the BJP’s election manifesto in Jammu on Friday, outlining a comprehensive vision for the holistic and sustainable development of Jammu and Kashmir. The manifesto’s foremost resolution emphasizes the complete eradication of terrorism and separatism in the region.

G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of Coal and Mining and BJP in-charge for Jammu and Kashmir, highlighted that the manifesto is designed to empower the underprivileged, including women, youth, and farmers. He assured that a BJP-led government would remain steadfast in serving the people and advancing the development of Jammu and Kashmir.

In a press release, Reddy responded to the National Conference (NC), criticizing Omar Abdulla for his recent electoral setbacks. Reddy noted Abdullah’s shift from his earlier decision to avoid running in the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections. Citing Abdullah’s decision to contest from two seats—Ganderbal and Budgam—Reddy suggested that Abdullah’s actions reveal his anxiety over potential defeat.

Reddy also took aim at the Congress Party and its leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing them of being anti-Jammu and Kashmir and dismissing their role in regional development. He argued that Congress is more interested in fostering division rather than promoting unity and progress in the area.

Furthermore, Reddy targeted PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti, criticizing her for reversing her earlier stance and claiming her statements reflect a pre-election defeatist attitude. He contended that the decline of family-run parties like Congress, NC, and PDP is evident, indicating a loss of their political grip.

Reddy challenged these parties to account for their contributions during their tenure, arguing that they have been associated with terrorism, separatism, unrest, and intimidation. He concluded that the disarray among these parties signifies that a BJP government is likely to take shape in Jammu and Kashmir.
