Amit Shah To Unveil BJP Manifesto In Bengal Campaign Push

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will release the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) election manifesto for the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections on Friday in Kolkata, marking a key moment in the party’s campaign in the state.

Describing the manifesto as the party’s ‘Sankalp Patra’, Shah said in a social media post that people of West Bengal were seeking change, alleging dissatisfaction with the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) government. He added that the document aims to present a vision to free the state from what he termed misrule.

In a post on X, Shah remarked that Bengal, weary of the Trinamool Congress, is now seeking a new direction. He added that following the manifesto release, he would engage with the public through a rally in Debra, West Medinipur, and a roadshow in Kharagpur, aiming to connect directly with voters.

Rallies and Roadshows Planned Across Key Districts

Following the release, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address a public meeting in Debra in West Midnapore and later join a roadshow in Kharagpur, stepping up the BJP’s campaign ahead of the elections.

As per the schedule, Shah will also address two rallies on Saturday in Chhatna (Bankura) and Baghmundi (Purulia), strengthening the party’s outreach at the grassroots level.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is undertaking an extensive campaign tour in West Bengal, addressing three rallies in Jangipur (Murshidabad), Katwa (East Burdwan), and Balurghat (South Dinajpur), followed by a night halt in Siliguri. He will also take part in a roadshow in Siliguri the next day.

Earlier, PM Modi addressed rallies in Haldia, Asansol, and Suri, and began his campaign with a major event in Cooch Behar.

The West Bengal Assembly elections will be held in two phases on April 23 and April 29, with results on May 4.
