Union Home Minister Amit Shah along with his family took a holy dip in Ganga during the ongoing Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. Several saints and Uttar Pradesh CM were also present with Shah as he performed ‘aarti’ at Triveni Sangam.
HM and family also fed migratory birds at Triveni Sangam.
Notably, Baba Ramdev including other saints and sages was present there with Union Minister Amit Shah while he took a dip.
Before taking holy dip Shah and UP CM met saints and seers. Shah is also to visit Bade Hanuman temple situated in the Civil Lines area of the city. Later HM will proceed to Juna Akhara where he will interact with saints and have lunch with them.

Shah will also visit Guru Sharananand Ji’s Ashram to meet Guru Sharananand Ji and Govind Giri Ji Maharaj. He will conclude his visit by meeting the Shankaracharyas of Sringeri, Puri, and Dwaraka. The home minister will depart for Delhi in the evening.
CM Yogi Adityanath and Baba Ramdev performed yoga poses at the MahaKumbh, showcasing their devotion and participation in the event. Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh cabinet held a meeting in Prayagraj and took a dip at the Sangam.
The Maha Kumbh, held every 12 years, began on January 13 with the auspicious Paush Purnima. Over 110 million devotees have already taken a holy dip in the first 14 days. The event is expected to draw over 450 million visitors by February 26, making it a historic gathering.
