Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the LiHab Centre, HEALD initiative on Saturday.
He also released a cartoon catalogue at the Healthy Liver-Healthy India programme organised by the ILBS, a globally renowned healthcare institution led by Dr SK Sarin.
Home Minister Shah also emphasised liver health during his address at a programme organised by ILBS.
Amit Shah also took to his social media and shared the images from the inauguration while emphasising the importance of liver health.
Sharing on the X (formerly Twitter), Home Minister wrote, “A healthy liver enhances our overall well-being and the ability to think sharply and work hard.”
“PM Shri @narendramodi Ji’s appeal to the citizens on World Liver Day to intensify their healthy food habits and focus more on a healthy lifestyle will play a vital role in building robust citizens for a powerful nation”, he further added.

Speaking at a programme organised by the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) on the occasion of World Liver Day, HM Shah said that everyone should take a pledge to keep their ‘liver’ healthy with awareness, diligence and complete information.
Sharing his experience of a healthy lifestyle, the Home Minister said that there has been a huge change in his life since May 2020.
HM Shah said that young people can achieve a lot in their lives with water, diet, exercise and sleep as per the requirements of the body.
The Union Home Minister said that the Ministry of AYUSH is working to develop a system so that we do not fall ill.
“Today, even big allopathic hospitals are opening AYUSH wings. The mental and physical health of a person was included in the idea of World Yoga Day,” he noted.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took to social media to encourage citizens to adopt healthier habits.
Taking to X, PM Modi posted, “Commendable effort to mark #WorldLiverDay with a call for mindful eating and healthier living. Small steps like reducing oil intake can make a big difference. Together, let’s build a fitter, healthier India by raising awareness about obesity.”
