Amit Shah Arrives In Chhattisgarh For Three-Day Visit Focused On Bastar Development

Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Chhattisgarh on Sunday evening for a key three-day visit focused on development, security and governance initiatives across the state.

Senior BJP leaders and party workers welcomed him enthusiastically at Raipur Airport, highlighting the political and administrative importance of the visit.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai received the Home Minister along with Deputy Chief Ministers Vijay Sharma and Arun Sao, Finance Minister OP Choudhary and several senior Ministers and legislators.

State leaders described the visit as crucial for accelerating development and strengthening peace in Bastar, a region previously affected by Naxal violence.

Vishnu Deo Sai stated that the double-engine government, under Amit Shah’s guidance and with support from the Centre, has significantly weakened Naxal influence in Bastar. He added that the government has also expanded opportunities for economic growth, infrastructure development and public welfare across the region.

During his visit, Amit Shah will launch Dial-112 emergency response vehicles in Raipur to strengthen law and order and improve emergency services across the state. He will later travel to Bastar to attend programmes focused on development and security initiatives.

The government continues efforts to transform Bastar into a Naxal-free region through development and stronger governance.

Amit Shah’s visit will conclude on May 19 with the Central Zonal Council meeting in Bastar, where Chief Ministers from Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand will discuss security, development and inter-state coordination.

Leaders view the meeting as a landmark step towards giving Bastar a stronger national identity.
