Advocate Gagan Gandhi of Niti Nyay Legal Firm, on behalf of Advocate Gupta, has filed an application with the Solicitor General (SG) alleging that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal violated his bail conditions. Gandhi’s application states that when granting bail to Kejriwal, the Supreme Court instructed him not to comment on the ongoing CBI case regarding the excise policy, as it remains pending in a special court.
Despite this directive, the application claims, Kejriwal posted a letter on social media on October 16, questioning his arrest. In the letter, he stated that he was detained due to his public work, which he believes surpasses the achievements of the ruling party at the Center and in 22 states. He alleged that efforts to halt his government’s projects through the LG’s intervention were intended to prevent his party from gaining nationwide support.
Kejriwal’s letter highlighted his resumed focus on completing halted projects and repairing infrastructure, particularly broken roads. He expressed determination to continue his work, suggesting that his government’s accomplishments have prompted pushback from higher authorities.
The letter, circulated widely, has sparked fresh debate on Kejriwal’s bail conditions and public statements.
