Acharya Vivek Muni Calls For Non-Violence And Peace At Bharat Express Conclave

At the Bharat Express 3rd Anniversary Conclave in Delhi, Acharya Vivek Muni, a distinguished Jain monk, yoga scholar, and founder of the Acharya Sushil Muni Mission, addressed the audience as a special guest.

He reflected on contemporary global conflicts and underlined the relevance of Jain principles in guiding humanity towards peace.

During the event, CMD Upendrra Rai asked Acharya Muni about the relevance of truth, non-violence, and dharma in today’s world, which teeters on the edge of a potential third world war.

Acharya Vivek Muni said the planet faces unprecedented tension, citing the Ukraine-Russia war, the Israel-Hamas-Hezbollah conflict, and rising friction between Israel, the US, and Iran. He warned that these conflicts could escalate unpredictably, casting dark clouds over global peace.

Acharya Vivek Muni emphasised that Jainism and Lord Mahavira’s teachings offer a path for humanity. He said that non-violence, compassion, kindness, and forgiveness are essential for global harmony.

Quoting Jain philosophy, he noted, “Forgiveness is the ornament of the brave,” explaining how Lord Mahavira forgave even those who caused him suffering.

He urged individuals, families, societies, and nations to respect each other’s rights and live peacefully, following the principle:

Treat others as you wish to be treated.

He also stressed that preventing global conflict requires embracing Lord Ram’s righteousness, Lord Krishna’s love, Lord Mahavira’s non-violence, and Lord Buddha’s compassion.

Citing Prime Minister Modi’s call for ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, Acharya Muni encouraged everyone to work collectively for peace, harmony, and well-being.

He reminded leaders and citizens that practising non-violence, forgiveness, and compassion is essential to building a just and peaceful society worldwide.
