BJP conspiring against Delhiites to create water crisis, alleges Atishi
Accusing the BJP for conspiring against the people of Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi alleged on Sunday that former South Delhi MP Ramesh Bidhuri, along with some associates, attacked the Delhi Jal Board office in Chhatarpur amidst the ongoing water crisis in the national capital.
The water shortage in Delhi has triggered widespread protests, vandalism, and intense political conflict throughout the city. Addressing a press conference in Delhi, Atishi stated, “Delhi is currently experiencing severe heat. Even in these challenging times, the BJP has spared no effort to trouble the people of Delhi. The BJP is conspiring against Delhi’s residents, and this conspiracy consists of three parts.” She continued, “The first part involves blocking the supply of water to Delhi by the BJP government in Haryana. This has led to no water remaining at the Wazirabad Water Treatment Plant.”
Atishi further alleged that the BJP’s alleged scheme has resulted in deliberate damage to pipelines carrying water from Delhi’s treatment plants, with the amount of water produced by these plants being exactly what is delivered through the pipelines. How do BJP leaders magically appear in front of broken pipelines to take photos? Just yesterday, the pipeline supplying water to South Delhi from Sonia Vihar was found broken. Was this deliberate? Such incidents do not happen on their own. This also forms part of the conspiracy,” she asserted.

Regarding the attack on the Delhi Jal Board office, Atishi claimed that BJP workers, including Bidhuri, smashed pots and vandalized the premises in Chhatarpur. “As you saw, the person who led the attack at the Delhi Jal Board office in Chhatarpur was none other than the BJP’s former South Delhi MP Ramesh Bidhuri, accompanied by his associates. They were clearly identifiable with BJP sashes and flags visible in the background. These BJP workers, or should I say BJP goons, were hurling pots, breaking glass, and wreaking havoc in the office,” she remarked. “We have lodged a complaint with the Delhi Police about this attack. I have personally shared the video footage of the incident with the DCP of South Delhi Police. Now, we await the police response regarding filing a case against Bidhuri,” Atishi concluded.
