Aam Aadmi Party Kicks Off ‘Revdi Par Charcha’ Campaign Ahead Of Delhi Elections

On Friday, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) kicked off its ‘Revdi Par Charcha’ campaign, aiming to engage directly with the people of Delhi on the ongoing debate surrounding the party’s welfare initiatives.

Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai stated, “Revdi Par Charcha, a programme launched across Delhi today by the Aam Aadmi Party, marks a new chapter in Indian politics under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal.”

Emphasizing the groundbreaking policies of the Arvind Kejriwal administration, the Delhi Environment Minister remarked, “For the first time in Indian politics, a government has prioritised public welfare over benefits for leaders. Earlier, government resources were used to provide privileges to politicians, but our government has ensured services like free electricity, water, quality schools, hospitals, clinics, free bus travel for women, and pilgrimage trips for the elderly.”

The AAP Minister took aim at the BJP for branding these welfare initiatives as ‘freebies’ (revdi). He also urged citizens to actively participate in determining whether these programs should continue.

“Through ‘Revdi Par Charcha,’ we will reach out to people and ask if these facilities should continue or discontinued as the BJP suggests,” Gopal Rai added.

AAP launched the ‘Revdi Par Charcha’ campaign in preparation for the Delhi Assembly elections scheduled for February 2025.

In response to the BJP’s criticisms regarding AAP’s candidate list, released earlier this week, Gopal Rai dismissed claims that the party lacks confidence in its candidates. He stressed that AAP remains committed to fair political representation and people-centric governance.

Rai reaffirmed AAP’s commitment to tackling air pollution in Delhi. He assured that the government is implementing all necessary steps, including GRAP (Graded Response Action Plan) Stage 4 measures, to effectively reduce pollution levels.
