12 Years Of Nari Shakti: PM Modi Highlights Women’s Role In India’s Growth Story

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday commended the achievements of women in a wide range of fields while reiterating the NDA government’s dedication to strengthening women-led progress.

Referring to the milestone as ‘#12YearsOfNariShakti‘, PM Modi said women have emerged as powerful drivers of change in sectors such as banking, entrepreneurship, education, healthcare, sanitation, sports, science, and public administration.

PM Modi stated that government initiatives have consistently focused on creating greater opportunities, ensuring respect, and promoting empowerment for women across the country.

The Prime Minister expressed delight over the increasing presence of women in advanced sectors, including scientific research, space exploration, and technological innovation. He observed that areas such as drone technology are opening up fresh possibilities and enabling women to contribute more significantly to economic and social development.

PM Modi also pointed to the success of Self-Help Groups, noting that they have played an important role in enhancing financial security and self-reliance among women.

Describing women as a vital force behind India’s development, the Prime Minister said their dedication and abilities continue to elevate the nation’s standing across diverse domains.

Several flagship government schemes introduced over the past decade have focused on improving women’s access to financial resources, healthcare services, quality education, and income-generating opportunities.

Among these, the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana has helped countless women establish and expand businesses through collateral-free credit support.

Programmes such as the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, Womaniya initiative, Lakhpati Didi, and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao have further expanded access to banking services, savings instruments, and entrepreneurial opportunities.

With increasing representation in both traditional professions and emerging industries, women are playing an increasingly important role in shaping a stronger, more inclusive, and self-reliant India.
