11 Years Of NDA: PM Modi Reaffirms Garib Kalyan Pledge

Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked 11 years of the National Democratic Alliance’s rule by reiterating the government’s unflinching commitment to ‘Garib Kalyan- the welfare of the poor’.

In a message shared on his official social media handle, the Prime Minister described the government as compassionate, inclusive, and dedicated to empowering every Indian through sustainable development.

PM Modi stated that the government’s approach has focused on empowerment over entitlement, citing that over 25 crore citizens have successfully overcome poverty in the past decade.

He further said that sustained policy interventions prioritising dignity, opportunity, and access for the marginalised had achieved this progress.

Key schemes were highlighted as drivers of this transformation.

  • The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana provided affordable housing to millions.
  • The Ujjwala Yojana replaced smoky chulhas with clean cooking gas, improving the lives of women and children.
  • Jan Dhan Yojana brought financial inclusion to the doorsteps of rural India.
  • Ayushman Bharat extended free healthcare access to the most vulnerable.

The Prime Minister also emphasised the role of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) and digital inclusion in ensuring that government benefits reached the last mile efficiently and without corruption. Investments in rural infrastructure have further accelerated delivery and improved the quality of life in remote areas.

“Over the past decade, the NDA Government has taken pathbreaking steps to uplift several people from the clutches of poverty, focussing on empowerment, infrastructure and inclusion.”

The government, in an official communique, noted that the 11 years of the PM Modi-led administration have seen the vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas take shape on the ground.

Furthermore, it stressed that the growth story of the past decade has included everyone, regardless of background.

As India continues its development journey, PM Modi reaffirmed the NDA’s pledge to build a self-reliant, inclusive nation.

“The NDA remains committed to ensuring every citizen lives with dignity and opportunity,” he declared, underlining that the focus remains on actions, not promises.

Also, with this reaffirmation of purpose, the NDA government sets the tone for its future agenda, anchored in the principles of justice, opportunity, and dignity for all.
