PIB, NTA Debunk Viral NEET-UG 2026 Paper Leak Claims On Telegram

PIB Fact Check dismissed viral claims of a NEET-UG 2026 re-examination paper leak on Telegram, calling them false and misleading.

The agency acted after a video circulated online alleging a leak before the test.

Citing the NTA, PIB said the claims were baseless and urged the public to avoid sharing unverified information.

The NTA separately issued a statement on June 21, describing the viral video as fabricated and rejecting all allegations linked to it.

The NTA conducted the re-examination under strict security and surveillance, finding no evidence of a paper leak.

The agency warned that spreading misinformation is a serious offence and said it is taking action against those responsible. It urged students and parents to rely only on official sources.

More than 20 lakh candidates took the re-test, held in 13 languages, while NTA Director General Abhishek Singh confirmed the examination proceeded smoothly without any leak reports.

While many candidates described the biology section as relatively easy, several students found physics to be the most challenging part of the examination.

The latest clarification from PIB and NTA aims to curb misinformation and reassure candidates about the integrity of the examination process.
