Veteran Actress Saira Banu Reflects On Life And Celebrates 80th Birthday

Veteran actress Saira Banu, who recently celebrated her 80th birthday, took to Instagram on Sunday to reflect on the essence of life and express her gratitude for her loved ones.

Sharing a series of photos from her birthday celebrations, Saira mused about the many ways to measure a life. In her Instagram post, she pondered whether we gauge life by milestones or by the fleeting moments that we remember later. She highlights the significance of annual anniversaries and stresses the importance of surrounding oneself with loved ones.

Saira expressed her deep appreciation for the affection and support she has received from her family and friends. “I believe life is measured in the company of your own people, those who love you,” she wrote. “I feel blessed by the love and support of my family and friends.”

She specifically thanked her son, Rehan Ahmed, and his daughter Shaheen for their efforts to be present at the celebrations despite their busy schedules. Saira also expressed her gratitude to her grandnieces, Anaiya and Ansharah, particularly praising Anaiya for orchestrating the event and decorating her home with joy.

“Both of them encouraged me to step out for the meal, knowing I rarely leave my house,” Saira noted. “Their presence, along with that of my family, made my 80th birthday a truly memorable occasion.”

Saira Acknowledged Her Friends

Saira also acknowledged her friends, including actress Fareeda Jalal and Dr. Meera Agarwal, for their contributions to her happiness. “I am grateful to have friends like Fareeda Jalal, her son Yaseen, Mani Talati, Mehfooza, Shaista, Azra Lokhandwala Ji, and Moin Beg,” she said, highlighting their role in making her day special.

Concluding her reflection, Saira expressed her belief that the truest measure of life lies in the presence of family and friends, a well-set table, and the thread of love that connects us all. “There are many ways to measure life, but the most meaningful measure surrounds us with loved ones and fills us with love,” she stated.
