The Kerala Story Starrer Adah Sharma Maintains A Strong Run On Its 15th Day At Box Office

The Sudipto Sen-directed film “The Kerala Story,” starring Adah Sharma, keeps doing well at the box office in spite of the controversy. Despite the release bans imposed by numerous states, including West Bengal, the movie has continued to perform well. Amazingly, the movie exceeded the Rs 100 crore threshold and joined the elite club within just 10 days of its release. Even though sales may have marginally decreased from earlier in the day, “The Kerala Story” is still unstoppable and continues to gain momentum.

Day 15 of the Kerala Story

The movie made Rs 6.40 crore on its fifteenth day, bringing its total take to almost Rs 171.72 crore, per box office figures. Impressively, the movie still did well at the box office over the week, proving its ongoing appeal and tenacity.

Adah Sharma recently discussed the movie. “No one has delved into his subject until now; we exposed the nexus for the first time,” she told Rediff.com. We recorded all we heard and saw on the screen. Actually, Sudipto sir (director Sudipto Sen) showed us several videos of ISIS atrocities at the workshops before we began filming. Together with the boy who portrays my terrorist spouse, I observed them. Afterward, we were unable to speak due to our numbness.

More about the Kerala story

Adah Sharma portrays Fathima Ba, a Hindu Malayali nurse who was one of the 32,000 women who vanished from Kerala and was later recruited by the ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) after being forced to convert to Islam, in the movie “The Kerala Story.” The movie also exposes the ‘Love Jihad’ propaganda, in which Muslim men coerce Hindu girls into becoming Muslims and leaving their families.

A petition was started against the movie shortly after its trailer was released, claiming that it contained the “worst kind of hate speech” and “audio-visual propaganda.” Many political figures criticized the movie and charged that its creators were inventing the number “32000 women” and making false claims that it was based on a true story.
