Westland Books editor Kartika V explained that Kapoor himself suggested Chopra for the cover launch.

The publisher said Chopra’s global presence made her a fitting choice to honour Sridevi, who broke barriers for women in Indian cinema.

The biography will also feature an endorsement from Amitabh Bachchan, who described Sridevi as ‘the epitome of unmitigated talent’.

Sridevi began her career as a child actor at the age of four and entered Bollywood in 1972 with Rani Mera Naam. She received the Padma Shri in 2013 and remains one of Indian cinema’s most celebrated stars.
