A grand premiere of the Marathi film ‘Asha’ will take place in Mumbai on 18 December.
The film highlights the dedication of ASHA workers, their relentless efforts in ensuring safe hospital deliveries and their crucial role in strengthening community healthcare. It is a tribute to those women who step outside their homes to serve society with commitment and compassion.
The film’s producer, Daivata Patil, shared that CMD and Editor-in-Chief of Bharat Express News Network, Upendrra Rai, has been invited as the Guest of Honour for the event. She said that his fair journalism and continuous focus on public interest and social issues make him the most fitting dignitary to grace the occasion.
Patil further added that the presence of CMD Rai will not only add significance to the event but will also send a strong message of respect and encouragement to ASHA workers across the country. She noted that the film aims to raise awareness about their indispensable contribution in keeping communities safe and healthy.
There is visible enthusiasm within the film community as well as among social organisations ahead of the premiere.
The makers believe that ‘Asha’ will help bring wider recognition to ASHA workers and strengthen public appreciation for their service to the nation.
