Shah Rukh Khan is poised to make a triumphant return to the silver screen with his third film of the year, “Dunki.” The film’s promotions reached new heights in Dubai on Tuesday, as a spectacular drone display illuminated the night sky. The drones skillfully formed shapes representing Shah Rukh Khan’s name, his signature pose, and even an aeroplane. Adding to the grandeur, the Dunki trailer was projected onto the iconic Burj Khalifa.
Images and videos capturing the dazzling Dunki drone event in Dubai have flooded the internet. Shah Rukh Khan, currently in Dubai for promotional activities, witnessed the spectacle alongside director Rajkumar Hirani and writer Abhijat Joshi. The actor was casually attired in a black T-shirt, matching denims, a red jacket, and stylish sunglasses.
“Dunki” boasts an ensemble cast featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar, Anil Grover, and Boman Irani. The film is set to hit theatres on Thursday.
Co-written by Abhijat Joshi, Rajkumar Hirani, and Kanika Dhillon, “Dunki” weaves a heartwarming tale of four friends – Manu, Sukhi, Buggu, and Balli – who harbour dreams of settling in London for a better life. However, their aspirations lead them on a challenging yet transformative journey.
Shah Rukh Khan unveiled a new Dunki poster on Tuesday, sharing it on social media with the caption, “Dunki, apne rishte peeche chhod aate hain… Ek din wahi rishte, unhe ghar wapas kheench laate hain” (Dunkis leave their relatives behind, but the same relationships bring them back home). The poster showcases Shah Rukh, Taapsee, and Vikram with their backs to the camera, adding an air of mystery to the film.
