Anupam Kher Meets Amit Shah; Discusses Nation, Culture And Cinema

Veteran actor Anupam Kher on Tuesday met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence and held an extensive discussion on issues related to the nation, society, culture, cinema and life.

Sharing photographs of the meeting on social media platform X, the 71-year-old actor expressed gratitude for the Home Minister’s warm welcome and generous hospitality.

“I had the good fortune of meeting the Honorable Union Home Minister of India, Shri Amit Shah Ji, at his residence. I am deeply grateful to him from the bottom of my heart for his affection, warm hospitality, and sense of kinship,” he posted.

Anupam Kher said the interaction covered several meaningful subjects. He also praised Shah’s deep understanding, exceptional memory and clarity of thought.

Kher added that every meeting with such a personality offers an opportunity to learn something new and develop a fresh perspective. He also thanked the Home Minister for his time and affection.

The veteran actor said the idol of Lord Hanuman placed near the seat where he was sitting made the meeting even more memorable.

Earlier, Anupam Kher joined several members of the film fraternity in expressing concern over the devastating floods in Assam. He extended his support to those affected by the disaster and appealed to people to help the victims.

In a previous social media post, Kher said the heartbreaking visuals from the flood-hit areas deeply saddened him. He noted that many families had lost their loved ones, homes and livelihoods. He also highlighted the plight of children and elderly people forced to remain under the open sky.

The National Award-winning actor urged citizens to come forward and support those affected by the natural calamity while expressing solidarity with the flood victims.
