Akanksha Dubey Suicide Case: Boyfriend Samar Singh Arrested In Ghaziabad, Case Registered

Days after the 25-year-old Bhojpuri actress Akanksha Dubey was found dead in a hotel room in Varanasi, finally, her boyfriend Samar Singh has been arrested in Ghaziabad in the link with her mysterious murder or suicide case.

The accuses, Singh has been accused of abetting Akanksha’s suicide by her mother and he had been absconding since her demise.

According to the reports, Bhojpuri actress Akanksha Dubey and her boyfriend Samar Singh were in a live-in relationship. While Samar has been arrested, the search is still on to get the second accused Sanjay Singh of this mysterious murder case arrested.

Official statements

Speaking to the media, Ghaziabad SP said that accused Samar Singh was arrested at 12 midnight by a team that arrived from Banaras. He was hiding in a society in the Nandgram police station area. A case has been registered under 306. Currently, he is taken into custody.

On Thursday, the court issued non-bailable warrants (NBW) against singers Samar Singh and Sanjay Singh after they were accused of inciting violence.

A Letter to CM Yogi

Earlier, Lawyer Shashank Shekhar Tripathi submitted a letter to CM Yogi Adityanath over the demand, stating that the Bhojpuri actress was murdered by some people in the hotel room rather than by suicide.

Madhu Dubey’s lawyer, Tripathi has raised several points in the letter to the chief minister, while pointing at suspicion over the death.

The lawyer also alleged that Akansha’s body was “forcibly cremated” despite her mother’s insistence that the cremation should happen only after the post-mortem report arrives.

Autopsy report

Akanksha was found hanging inside a hotel room in Varanasi on March 26. Recently, an autopsy report also revealed the presence of an unknown liquid in her stomach and injury marks on her wrist.
