Seeing The Lord Among Devotees Is The Pinnacle Of Humility: Gautam Adani At Rath Yatra

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, accompanied by his wife Priti Adani and son Karan Adani, took part in the sacred Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath in Puri on Saturday, describing the experience as a deeply humbling spiritual moment.

Calling it a privilege to witness one of India’s most revered religious events, Adani shared his sentiments publicly, stating, “Seeing the Lord Himself among devotees is an experience of the pinnacle of humility, simplicity, and compassion.”

In a message posted on the social media platform X, he reflected on the spiritual magnitude of the occasion.

“This Rath Yatra is a grand embodiment of faith, service, and unity, which delights the mind, intellect, and soul. Being a witness to this wonderful experience on the sacred land of Puri, alongside millions of devotees, will forever remain among the priceless memories of my life,” the Adani Group Chairman posted.

Gautam Adani extended his gratitude to the Odisha government, the Puri district administration, and the thousands of workers who enabled the smooth conduct of the event.

“Their dedication and discipline have made this event unfold with such reverence and grandeur,” he further noted.

Additionally, the Adani Group Chairman asserted, “May the grace of Lord Jagannath always remain upon the holy state of Odisha, India, and its people. Jai Jagannath.”

As part of their pilgrimage, the Adani family participated in the ceremonial ‘Rath Poojan’ and joined countless devotees for the grand procession of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra.

Launch of ‘Prasad Seva’ initiative

The Adani Group has launched a large-scale ‘Prasad Seva’ initiative during this year’s Rath Yatra, which runs from 26 June to 8 July.

The effort aims to provide free meals and refreshments to both pilgrims and frontline workers managing the festivities.

Multiple distribution centres have been set up across Puri to ensure efficient delivery of ‘prasad’ to the vast crowds.

The initiative reflects the Group’s continued commitment to public service, similar to its support efforts during the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj earlier this year, where it partnered with civic and religious bodies for food distribution.

Gautam Adani concluded his message with a prayer for the well-being of the state and the nation.

“May the grace of Lord Jagannath always remain upon the holy state of Odisha, India, and its people. Jai Jagannath,” he added.
